The Emjays International Cannabis Awards ceremony was hosted at the 2023 MJBizCon and recognized businesses, leaders, and innovators in specific categories.
PHOENIX, Ariz., (December 4, 2023) — MITA Unshackled, a cannabis industry podcast created by the Marijuana Industry Trade Association (MITA) and hosted by MITA CEO and cannabis policy expert, Demitri Downing, today announces its win for “Cannabis Podcast of the Year” at the Emjays International Cannabis Awards, produced by Farechild and hosted at MJBizCon.
The podcast, which was launched in 2022 and first aired at last year’s MJBizCon event, won against five other finalists including Kaya Cast, Weed & Grub, The Cannamom Show, First Smoke of the Day, and The Adam Dunn Show. Winners were selected by a blend of public votes and internal rankings from a judging panel formed by MJBizCon, Farechild, and a group of top cannabis media companies.
“We are very grateful for the Emjay Awards panel and public voters who recognized the hard work we’ve put in gathering insight and knowledge from so many incredible leaders in the cannabis industry,” said Downing. “Just a year after our official launch, we’ve built something really powerful.”
Presented by Advanced Vapor Devices and produced by Farechild Events, the Emjays International Cannabis Awards is a black-tie event with a red carpet, more than 20 award categories, and different “celebrity” presenters for each category. This year’s ceremony took place at the Pearl Theater @ Palms Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Thursday, November 30th.
