PHOENIX, Ariz. (November, 2023) — The Marijuana Industry Trade Association (MITA) today announces its 3rd annual Winter Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday December 7th, 2023. The event, which also includes a Networking Wellness Day, will take place at Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Attendees can expect open networking with the MITA cannabis community before and after golf, fireside chats with cannabis industry leaders from Arizona and around the country, a raffle, and tables for vendors and sponsors. Players will have an opportunity to win prizes at each hole, participate in an auction, and win a hole-in-one contest.
CannaYoga on the Green, a 75-minute gentle cannabis-infused outdoor yoga class suitable for all levels will also take place at 11 a.m., with check-in starting at 10:30 a.m.
“It’s truly an honor to gather so many great names in the cannabis industry for a day filled with networking, building opportunities, and raising money for a good cause,” said David Fowler, MITA tournament organizer. “We welcome all members of the cannabis community and hope to see new and familiar faces out on the course.”
Weedmaps will be the presenting sponsor for the charity event, which will raise funds for Soldier’s Best Friend, a 501-(c)3 nonprofit that pairs service dogs with eligible U.S. military veterans in Arizona at no cost to the veteran. Additionally, Arizona-based non-profit Field to Healed, which is conducting the only federally authorized medical cannabis study for PTSD in military veterans, will be a charity beneficiary.
