President Vicente Fox’s visit to MITA-AZ was brief in time, but historic in impact. The former head of state, along with MITA co-founder Demitri Downing, sat down for interviews with every major Valley media outlet including CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, AZTV3, Telemundo, KJZZ, KTAR, the Phoenix Business Journal and others. President Fox and Downing also paid an in-studio visit to PBS Horizon where Fox was interviewed by award-winning host Ted Simons and had the opportunity to speak in his native tongue with Jose Cardenas of PBS Horizonte. The presence of President Fox at MITA-AZ’s monthly networking meeting created an electric environment and heightened the awareness of potential benefits Arizona could receive by preparing now for a future global cannabis marketplace.

The event was standing room only and attracted hundreds of business professionals, political aficionados and policymakers. Special thanks to the Proven Media team of Kim Prince, Neko Catanzaro, Dina Giovale and Amanda Hewett for their outstanding efforts to secure this Presidential/MITA-AZ media coverage. According to Nielsen Ratings, the team secured more than 49 press hits and reached a television and radio audience of more than 1,000,500 viewers.
